With a passion for theatre, Gordon Becker supplemented his college tuition by taking a job as a shopping center Santa. That auspicious beginning was the spark that ignited a more than fifty-year career founding and running a multi-million dollar empire and creating a whole new business category in the process - Mall-based entertainment and attractions. The birth of what is now popularly referred to as experiential marketing.

Beginning in the late 1950s, shopping centers were being developed in the suburbs and along with the surge of growth came a need for seasonal décor. Becker seized the opportunity and began to create intricate professional displays that were individualized for each shopping destination. He pioneered the first national programs with the Walt Disney Company, American Greetings, United Media, Sesame Street and other internationally known brands.

Affectionately dubbed “Papa Noel” by his clients and colleagues, Gordon Becker has joined Parker 3D as Managing Director. Parker 3D is a Maxi-Award winning, technology driven company that partners to create event-based programs throughout North America.

Becker resides in Baltimore, Maryland with wife, Marsha, and their four dogs.
